UTD Legacy Logo

The UTD legacy logo was created in 1971 by UT Dallas’ first president, Dr. Bryce Jordan. In addition to the color orange that is required by UT System, Dr. Jordan selected green as the complementary color. The legacy logo should be restricted to referencing the history of the University and can be accessed through the UT Dallas photo library (NetID login required).

University Seal

Three examples of the president's seal, each obscured by a label that reads, use restricted. One is black and white, one has orange text, and one is full color, with a red outer ring, then an inner blue ring, with a partially orange shield over it.

The seal of The University of Texas at Dallas represents the highest authority of the University. It is a symbol of institutional guarantee and is reserved for the most solemn purposes of the University, generally associated with presidential communication and the conferral of degrees and academic honors. It may not be used decoratively on disposable items. A better option in lieu of the seal is the UTD Emblem. Questions about using the seal should be directed to the Office of Communications at marketing@utdallas.edu.
